Annual Christmas Fundraiser

Our Daily Bread has now put out our Annual Christmas Fundraising Appeal. We would like to share a brief personal story below to illustrate the impact ODB has.

John, a pensioner and long time resident, relies on Our Daily Bread for food, emotional well being, and community support. Like the rest of us. John is increasingly squeezed by rising food and living costs. “Some days this is the only solid meal I’ll eat”, says John with a smile.

Before becoming a regular at ODB. John was a volunteer for the S.H.A.R.E. Nelson our second hand store. One day John learned he could receive free meals in exchange for helping. Now John happily takes out the garbage for us everyday and has a renewed sense of community and purpose.

If you have already given, thank you. If you find it possible to give please consider ODB and our mission for the community of Nelson and area.
